Monitoring Package

California Solar Electric Cooperative Premium Monitoring Service Agreement

This agreement outlines the services, terms, and responsibilities associated with our annual monitoring subscription. We created this package to proactively support the performance and health of your solar and/or battery system delivered with the care and clarity you expect from your local solar co-op.

Scope of Services

Monitoring Setup – We configure your system’s monitoring platform (where supported).

  • Proactive Monitoring (valued at $900/year) – Our team conducts regular system scans to identify issues before you do. If problems are detected, we’ll notify you and recommend next steps.

  • Priority Scheduling – If an issue arises, you’ll receive a response and service appointment within two business days.

  • Annual System Health Check – One annual in-person inspection, up to 1 hour, performed by a qualified technician. ($300 value)

  • Advanced Performance Reporting – In depth analysis of your system’s production, usage, savings, and anomalies delivered monthly (weekly reports available upon request). ($120 value)

  • 15% Discount on Corrective Maintenance – Receive 15% off billable service labor and materials for corrective maintenance. 

Note: Discount does not apply to the initial cost of new system installations, system expansions, re-roof projects, EV charger installations, or new electrical work.

  • Free Phone Support – Speak with a technician about service or monitoring issues.

  • Warranty Claim Assistance – We help you navigate and submit manufacturer claims.


Terms of Subscription

  • Price: $599/year

    Term: One-year subscription, renewable annually

    Service Area: Available for systems located within 60 miles of Grass Valley, CA

    Auto-Renewal Policy: This agreement will automatically renew each year on the anniversary of your original enrollment. A renewal notice will be sent 30 days in advance. Customers may opt out of renewal by contacting ap@cal-solar.com at least 15 days prior to renewal.


Billing Summary

The full annual payment of $599 is due upon enrollment. Billing will be handled via QuickBooks Intuit payment.


Service Conditions

This agreement covers diagnostic and support services for existing solar PV or energy storage systems. Additional service requests or equipment installations outside the included scope are subject to the terms outlined in our standard service agreement: https://www.cal-solar.coop/service-agreement.

Where applicable, the 15% discount on labor and materials will be honored for qualifying corrective maintenance services.


Limitations & Disclaimers

If your system was not originally installed by Cal-Solar, any work performed may void your original installer’s warranty. By signing this agreement, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

Cal-Solar provides labor in a professional and workmanlike manner. However, no warranty is provided on third-party equipment or energy production levels. Used or reconditioned parts may be used with customer consent if new components are unavailable.


Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel within 30 days of your original enrollment or renewal, you’ll receive a full refund. After that period, the subscription fee is non-refundable, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
